Habitat

Habitat transect surveys are being conducted in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Environment Adopt-A-Station program.  Habitat transects take an in depth look at sediment, depth, woody debris, and bank status at specific points throughout a watershed.  Habitat transects do not cover as much area as habitat mapping, but they are more precise.  Habitat transects are useful when in-depth analysis of a given point within a watershed is needed.
