The Michigan Department of Natural Resources owns and maintains numerous campsites either directly on or very close to trout streams. They can offer wonderful opportunities for camping and fishing for trout in Michigan. In addition, most are now maintained only through the revenues they generate from campers using them, and are increasingly at risk of closing due to insufficient funds. In an attempt at encouraging their use and enjoyment, and continued operation, they have produced the following maps to highlight their locations.
