Michigan Trout Unlimited is a conservation organization whose mission is to conserve, protect, and restore Michigan's watersheds which support wild trout and salmon. Michigan TU serves as a coordination and communication link between the 21 individual Trout Unlimited chapters in Michigan and the national TU organization. The Michigan TU consists of an executive committee including officers and coordinators, representatives from each of the individual chapters, advisors, and representatives from other conservation and fishing organizations. Michigan TU works to ensure that the importance of wild trout and salmon and their habitats are not forgotten in the many land use and resource issues that threaten our precious wild salmonid resources. Michigan TU meets quarterly and publishes a very well known magazine, the "Michigan Trout." Michigan TU also conducts one of the country's premier fly fishing schools each June.
